About Us
The Birds Of Prey Centre is located within the magnificent lakeside surroundings of Kielder Water at Leaplish Waterside Park, Northumberland. The Centre contains one of the largest and most fascinating collections of Birds Of Prey in the North of England. At the Birds of Prey Centre you will discover a vast variety of species and find out about their essential role within the ecology of the natural world. Learn about the valuable work of Kielder Water Birds Of Prey Centre’s education and captive breeding programs, which have been established to further the awareness of conservation, propagation and rehabilitation of Birds of Prey. This is a fantastic opportunity to see Birds of Prey in action. Watch a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph, see the grace and speed of Eagles, Hawks and Kites. The silent flight of Owls. Experience the thrill and excitement of handling some of these beautiful and extraordinary birds.
At Kielder Water Birds of Prey Centre I do not believe in exploiting my birds and totally disagree with various so called falconry display teams and falconers charging people to have their photographs taken holding birds of prey. This practice achieves nothing in the interests of education or conservation. So remember do not give these people your hard earned money.
